river barrow ireland

has anyone fished the barrow in the last few years.We went over 3 times in the 90,s just for a change from the shannon,met bobby smithers in carlow ,put us on some great pegs had 5 ton pluses in a week,a real gent aswell as a top angler.but try to get any good info on it now is nigh impossible,also noticed leisure angling has stopped putting the area in its brochure.hope it is still o.k. any news would be very grateful.

Hi Pete, have a look at http://www.fishingtalkireland.com/forum/index.php and ask the lads on there, there are a few lads from Athy on there that fish the river Barrow a bit, they should be able to help you.
