Noel. I have cast them with a waggler. Not a great distance I admit, but three rods lengths and they were fine.
If you want a pellet that really hangs on, and catches fish, try these Mistral ones, they're super.
Trout? Anything will take a trout. Dustbins of the water are trout.

JUST A LITTLE UPDATE on these Pendragon pellets.
I used them again last Saturday, the Strawberry flavoured ones. Some were beginning to break down, but there were still sufficient in the pot that could be fixed on the hook without fear of splitting the bait or it falling off.
They were certainly still catching me fish with a crucian of over 1?lbs.
That's not bad since I opened mine at the beginning of last November, some 8 months ago. At ?2.90 or so they're far better value than maggots!
