On my travels with work again next week and will be in Falmouth on Monday and Thursday.

I will pack my mullet rod and wondered if anyone had any experience of the harbour at all.

The title should read "What is it like?".Sorry

I'll answer my own question.

Fished in the old harbour on advice of the tackle shop for 3 hours and did not see head nor hide of a mullet.

Gave it up as a bad job and went to see if I could find somewhere a bit more "mullety" by the Marina further up.

I found an old boatyard behind the "park and float" car park and accessed down a public footpath.

The tide was flowing out quickly but I managed to get a few mullet going in front of me although all were small.I managed one of about 6oz- very cute, until the water left me completely.

I'd recommend the area on a rising tide as I am sure some bigger fish will come in with the water.Take your waders though and be careful of the mud as it is a bit sticky when you go further out.
