The Rigs Page - The Cagefeeder

I was using a rig almost identical to this today on the river taff except that i used a plain swivel instead of the ledger bead and was using a maggot feeder instead of an open ended feeder but the hooklink tangled around the fixed swivel almost every cast, i over came it in the end by using a micro swivel and a much smaller bead.

Anyone else had similar problems?

You can get little tapered tail rubbers that fit over the swivel where the bead is, they are about 1.5" long. They create a perfect stand off if you are having problems.

Thanks Baz, I have some of those in my tackle box i'll give that a go, it was bugging the hell out of me, i was using a heavy feeder as well which i think was making the problems worse.
