new rod advice

I am new to general coarse fishing. I grew up in Cape Town on a diet of sea fishing and carp and bass fishing. As an adult I mostly trout fished for wild mountain trout. Where I now live in Oxfordshire there is lots of fishing in the Thames and Thame rivers.
I have just bought myself a Greys Prodigy Twin tip rod. I would like to paint the 1st segment white as middle age is making the eyesight not what it used to be.
What kind of paint would be the best ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help with the rod.

Before lagging it in paint try a bit of plumber's pfte tape on the tip. It was suggested to me here and it works a treat. Quick and reversible.
