Graham,the external probe,is it capable of measuring water temps.?

No Fred, just atmospheric stuff. It's not really a probe but a Swan Vestas matchbox size box that you screw or stick to the window frame or somewhere handy outside.

Murray ......dont know how true but its the amount of water in something I.E. sugar sucks in water out the air which sticks it all together , so I guess it measures water in air

then again I might have it all wrong

I may be being stupid here but does it give you a weather forcast? apart from measuring humididity barometric pressure etc will it tell me its gonna rain this afternoon and the wind is gonna be a south westerly ?
