Is there anything else you can use to stab boilies with other than a baiting needle and does any one know any simple boilie recipes that are easy to make.

Alex, whats the problem with baiting needles, most commercial needles are excellent quality and very efficient.Look at the Whychwood kit in the carry case I got mine for ?15 in my local tackle dealers, great bit of kit, includes drill, three needles (one latch) and a pair of braid scissors. as for boilies is it really worth the agro, they all seem to work, frozen,in packs or tubs.

Baiting needles - I always buy a 0.75mm crochet hook from a haberdashery shop, price 75p. They are just the job and you're paying half the price of a custom designed baiting needle from the tackle shop. I did suddenly imagine that an even finer crochet hook would be better still but when I tried it (0.6mm I think)it promptly snapped!
