The River Severn (Welsh: Afon Hafren) is 220 miles long making it the longest river in Great Britain (354 kilometres).

How is it fishing?

I'm hoping to do a day or two next week below Shrewsbury.

Anyone know how the river is fishing?

In answer to my own question.

It was fishing well last Saturday evening.

A mate and I fished from 4pm until 1.30 am, I finished up with four barbel of 6lb12oz, 7lb5oz, 7lb 11oz and my new pb of 9lb 5oz. Also had a four lb chub so all in all, a pretty decent session I think.
