Very crafty! I must pay more attention to what the foul fowl get up to once they've failed to mug me for my bait.

And what plants tell us is, indeed, either under-studied, or kept quiet by those who know (honorable exceptions: D. Macer Wright and John Wilson).

A very interesting article.

I took advantage of the recent cold spell to locate a group of warm springs on one of our lakes which showed up as small melt holes in the ice.

I shall be taking advantage of this knowledge this season; funny how not very many people use this type of watercraft in their fishing; we are constantly being given clues that we don't seem to notice, it's nice to see an article like this, it may cause more anglers to get out there and use their eyes more.
