Jonny, this onewith the red led I got for 7quid from wilkinsons incl batteries, and it's superb! Not sure about the new ones though!

Yup, the one Eds on about is ding dong. I think every angler in the country went out and bought that one, sold out within days.

hmmm, just remember that you always get what you pay for, i had a couple of cheepy headtorches before i bought my Petzl, if your going to be out every weekend in all sorts of weather you need a headtorch taht wont let you down and i have never been let down by mine.

Saying that..........

There is a garage by my that is selling "camping lights" for £2.99, on closer inspection its a ring of 30 white leds powered by 4 AAs, bought one for the brolley, turned it on when it got dark and its like daylight inside your brolley!, £2.99 cant see how you can go wrong

boyes do one in there own brand for £3.25 and its brighter and cheaper than any other i have found plus they do an led light in a circle perfect for hanging up in bivvys for a bargin of £5
