Ok chaps - where should I have fished

What ho

Been to Richmond last week on holiday, this was never meant to be a fishing break but I did take a b it of kit with my.

I tried fishing the Swale as it runs through Richmond but all I could manage was minnows, shoals and shoals of bloody minnows - on bread.

I'm going back next year and would like to hook up a serious fish or two - and suggestions as to where on the Swale I should fish?

Not Richmond. Only catch minnows there. Especially on bread.

Thanks chaps

Is there any where round Richmond on the Swale that does hold anything other than minnows stuffed to the gills on my bread

BTW I did try hooking one of the monniws on to a size 12 hook and try to tempt a perch but they too were now where to be found

The perch were probably too full of bread filled minnows...

What about making a minnow out of bread, then using that to catch A very LARGE MINNOW!
