Nobody who has, like me, fished in the sea for the last 30 years can fail to have noticed how little of anything there is left to catch.
I know many FM members do not naturally align themselves to the RSPB, but on this occasion, the RSPB has no beef with anglers - it is one of those conservation issues which transcends any past squabbles we may have had.
Pledging to the campaign, with the massive power the RSPB has, may at last get the UK Government to adopt measures which can at least stabilise the plummeting populations of fish, and thus the seabirds which depnd on them for food.
