Many thanks to everyone who submitted features for the February round of the writing competition; once again we were marvellously well entertained.

The judges are now considering their verdict and all FM forum members are invited to submit a poll vote and make any comments here to assist with the decision making process.

The January contenders are as shown above.

Some very good articles amongst these and quite hard to choose.

Voted for the Cold Water Chub one in the end - just pipped it over the watercraft one.

It is getting more difficult every month to make a choice as there now many good pieces to chose from.

I've opted for Cold Water Chub as well, it ticks all the boxes for me, well written, lovely pictures and a very good conclusion summary.

Hard choice for me too. Couldn`t decide between Sean and Eddy`s pieces so I flipped a coin and it`s a vote for Eddy`s watercraft article
