yesterday i got a new rod

its described as covers all the requirements of the travelling fresh and saltwater angler.
Competitively priced and compact folding, they are ideal holiday rods. but can i use it for beach casting or should i keep it for fishing off peirs and harbour walls as it do's not say what type of saltwater angling it can be used for
