I'm 26, I live in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. I have coarse fished since I was 8 years old. In 2008 I learnt to fly fish and this has taken has been my primary method. However over the last couple of weeks I have decided that I would like to try and target Chub fishing rivers around the Buckinghamshire county.

Kind Regards

Hello Luke and Welcome to FishingMagic.

From Aylesbury eh?

Okay, no duck jokes then . . . . . . . . . .

Oh alright, just one then:

A duck walks into a bar and asks the bartender for corn.

The bartender says “We have no corn, get out of here.”

So the duck leaves. The next day he comes back and asks for corn again,

and the bartender says “I told you, we don’t have any corn! Get out!”

So the duck leaves. The next day he goes in again and asks for corn, and the bartender says,

“For the last time, we don’t have corn! If you ever come back, I’m going to nail those webbed feet of yours to the floor!”

So the duck leaves.

The next day the duck comes and asks,

“Do you have any nails?”

The bartender says, “No, of course not. Why would a bar have nails?”

The duck then says, “Good. Then can I have some corn?”

Hi Luke,

My Missus comes from Aylesbury. If you want some good chub fishing join Buckingham Angling Club. I believe that they have the rights on the stretch of river that was rented by **** Walker. I last fished it in 2004 and I saw some really big fish. If you go there, you have to be very careful though. Those chub are easily spooked and if you want to see them you need to crawl around on hands and knees and never flatten any bankside vegetation. It's a good place to practice stalking techniques. Once you have mastered the art you will see a lot of chub.

Have you thought of the Wotton Underwood lakes? Tickets are sometimes available there. If you are interested PM me your e-mail address and I might be able to help you.

I hope you enjoy your time at FM
