Spud pellets

Hi all....can anyone tell me if they have used punched out potato as pellets and whats the best way of colouring and flavouring them as i heard they stayed on the hook better than hooker pellets that you buy..

Apparently you put the spud pellets in a polythene bag with a decent helping of instant coffeefor a good few hoursand give them a shake every now and then. Add liquid flavourings/sweetners as normal.

Haven't used them myself but I understand they're very effective on commercials and stay on the hook very well.
