What`s the difference (besides the colour), does one provide less nutritional value for the fish?

I heard that brown crumb binds the groundbait ingredients together better than white.

I always get brown anyway on that basis.

You'll find that white binds together much more than brown, to the extent that the white can be a solid lump if you're not careful.

I would have to agree wih Mark, white crumb can become a proper mess if over-worked.

The only time I use white crumb is for punch crumb and then only ever moistened with an atomiser.

For bulking out a groundbait mix then brown crumb is the way to go.

For some reason I've always thought that white was also sweeter?

I don't know if this is true but for my homemade groundbaits I tend to use a mixture of both.

Often using just enough of the white crumb allows you to make groundbait balls without having to use a binder like water.
