The concrete is the foundation/base for the pipe bridge which spans the river.

Not standing on the concrete but on the bankside near the water. I would not put any fish at risk just for the sake of a photo, I've got more sense than that. If you've ever fished the venue you'd know where the concrete etc is

all down to opinions though Cakes, you could go to an extreme and say why hold a fish at all ? why not just take a pic of it on the mat ?
