Ah Tilley lamp fishing, this brings back many good memories. Before the Star/Beta Light bite detection devices, which you clip on to your rod tip, I and many others sat on the banks of the River Lune with Tilley Lamps and marker boards for swingor quiver tips. I still have a Coleman petrol Tilley Lamp, never had any trouble with mine and of course in the winter, when we had winters, you could warm your hands on the top of the lamp. It uses to feel very cosy sitting next to my Tilley with the odd flake of snow drifting in and out of the light of my little den.
