Sadly, two anglers have lost their lives on Loch Lomond.

Three others survived the sinking of their 19 ft boat, all of them wearing flotation suits.

They are all being treated for severe hypothermia after spending two hours in the water.

My thoughts go out to the families of the men.

RIP.

The public generally but anglers in particular are oblivious tohow dangerousa large stretch of water such as Loch Lomond really is, it can turn very nasty very quickly and unless you are prepared for the worst it can very quickly become life threatening.

How sad that what started out as a day of enjoyment turned out to be such a tragedy, their families must be numb and asking how such a thing could have happened, my thoughts are with them
