My mate bought the ron Thompson alarms with remote £100 for three, not had any problems. I have had a ron Thompson rod for a number of years and great value.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, but i would say that you will have to go a long way to find a kit like this, and Ron Thompson tackle has become alot better over the years. Go for it and good luck with the fishing.
