Hello to all my Fly Fishing Fans out there

Hi my name is Jim, I just re-discovered the wonderful world of fly fishing after a long stay away from it. I was introduced about ten years ago to this wonderful sport by my nephew Joey. Me and Joey have been fishing since January do to the warm weather we had all winter here in CT. We fished the Farmington River in January and had some success, now with the spring stocking we have had many hook-ups. Now I want to turn my attention to stillwater fly fishing in some of our local lakes and ponds that are stocked with trout and other species, I use my kayak for some of my trips but most of the time is dawn my wadders and enter the water. Looking forward to hearing from some of the other stillwater fishermen out there for some advise on hatch patterns to use. Thanks
