It,s blowing a Hooly and raining on and off here in the south east.
I got up and looked out at 6.30 this morning and thought
Oh dear...Well not quite oh dear but it meant the same..
But I braved it down the M25 to Iver for a TA match at Wood lane.
Luckily I have drawn a peg with the wind behind me and I'm down a slope.
Who else has braved it?

No chance- went yesterday evening for perch, with prawns. It was freezing: caught a carp, bream a chub then eventually a perch of 2lb 15oz (I'm too honest). The weather today is too extreme for me.

No. Saw the forecast and thought better of it. I don't mind rain and cold, but if you chuck in a strong wind, I can't be bothered.

Fishing . . . . in this?

I just got blown sideways in the car park at Waitrose!

I love my fishing, and enjoy sitting under a brolly too, but this weather is simply dangerous.

For me fishing is about enjoying yourself, and for me, i can't imagine me enjoying myself trying to fish in Hurricane Baw Bag whilst being persisted down on to boot.

If you must go then so be it, but let's not try to kid ourselves that it was enjoyable ;-)

I've got some pretty tough reports to write up for work so in a strange way it is nice to see the appalling weather as I could not get out anyway!

Well done Simon - not a venue that I would fish out of choice (and I know you didn't choose it) you have my utmost respect for braving what the elements chucked out today in this area - my contribution was a quick dive out for the papers this morning.

Well worth it for that roach i should think - great result. So thats the secret to catch a big roach then - just be ready and wait for the worst possible weather of the year, with heavy rain and 50mph gusts. Might need to invest in a pole though?
