Winter Blues&Cabin fever

Hi lad's,in my megre 25 years of carping I have had my hi's an low's but this winter I just CANT get motivated to fish.I have alway's loved the winter but this year the thought of Me Myself and my Madnesss for 14 hours of darkness is too much.The venue is Big and runs few and far even in the summer and cabin fever takes hold of me when I do my winter night's I just get bored and dont fish well.

Has anyone else sufferd this and what is the cure???

Balance it. Go to a runs water and/or do some river fishing.

i do a bit of piking sometimes in the winter, that helps cos it's nice to still get out

Buy a comfy chair, a bottle of what you fancy, and some good books, andread storiesto your madness until it wants to go fishing.

Then go fishing.

There are no prizes for making yourself miserable.

its not the thought of 14 hours of darkness stopping me, its the gale force winds and torrential rain!
