Take a look at the rigs pages at the top of the screen in a green box Alex.
Also have a look at the teqnique box there should be loads on carp fishing you could read.

What is the difference between a winter rig and a rig used any other time?

Hi Alex,

Winter Carp fishing should be approached differently to Summer Carp fishing.

Your are probably best Fine Tuning your End Tackle, for example, use a lighter hook length material, so if you usually use 12lb or 15lb Hook length material (be it braid or mono) try using 10lb Hook lengths. Also instead of a size 6 or Size 8 Hook try using a Size 10 Hook.

Also instead of piling in loads of baits, try just using 1 bright 10mm or 12 mm Boillie, or use a couple of grains of Corn until you locate were the fish are.

It also pays to have a good walk around your Lake to see if you can see any fish, if you're fishing a lake and you see a fish topping, and it's to far to cast to, move locations and cast to were you've just seen the fish top. At this time of year it pays to follow the fish rather than wait for them to come to you.

I hope this helps you some.

Happy New Year

Good Luck

Regards

Steph.
