Hi all. Is there any one out there who lives on the Isle of Wight ? whom I could possibly ask advice of, for fishing locally. Happy Christmas to you all who unfortunately do not live here. Wes.

new record, only thing is the guy killed it to claim the record, he had no intention of eating it though.

i would have returned it, or taken it gome and eaten it.

i dont mind fish being killed for food, but to kill it for a record is, as you say selfish

I do not object to fish being taken for the table at all, far from it, one of my favorite meals is fish.

However, to take a slow growing fish of that size for a table fish?

Sorry Wes seem to have hi-jacked your thread./forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

i only take what will be eaten the next day, 1 or 2 fish dinner plate sized, 19lb i would have to buy bigger plates. would probably be a photo then released. its what i tend to do with the bigger fish on charters, take what i can eat, the rest go back.

with out catching one, i dont think anyine could say what they would do.
