I had the best ever early Christmas present from Claudia last weekend - John Searl's new book "A Brush with the Avon"
So, if you are lost for what to ask "Santa" for, then you can't do better, it is a great read, the drawings are superb and the photography is excellent.

Santa has been early this year, I have got a TFG river and stream rod (the shimano feeder rod is also on the way...cheers for the advice and linlk Woody!).
As regards the mince pies...the Christmas cake...the stollen, the luxury chocolate biscuits, the sweeties.
I have eaten the bloody lot this evening....AND GAWD I FEEL ILL!
