Martin womble and myself went to see Ron Clay today and spent and hour or so chatting with him. He looks well, he has kicked the fags and looks better than I have seen him look in years.

I hope that his recovery is full and complete because Ron is one of anglings unique characters and we would be a poorer lot without the eccentric old bugger.
