I have treated myself to one of these, I am pleased to hear that you found it useful,I was worried that it might damage the braid.

I have to say I am not totally happy with mine. I have found on 15lb coated braid the toll cuts the skin off perfectly. However on larger diameter 25Lb coated braids it has a tendancy to cut into the braid as it strips the outer coating.

This would have the effect of weakening the braid so I have gone back to simple fly line clippers cheap simle and effective

I did have a concern that might happen, I have not had the opportunity to try it out yet as I have been piking this Winter. I know that some coated braids aremuch thinner than others, even at higher breaking strengths. I will have to see how I get on with it.

It is strange how often the simplest solution is the best!
