I don't know how many of you visit the "Bait Box" forum here, but there is a thread on it titled "Thread Killer" initially started by N. Maidment. It has been going for ages and has well over 1000 posts on it. Someone (me) posted a reply suggesting that I would happily pay a fiver to kill that thread, once and for all. This seems to have developing into a bit of an auction, the proceeds of whichare proposed togo to MacMillan Nurses. The present bid is £11.00. You won't get anything for your money other than the satisfaction of killing the thread and making a contribution to a very worthy cause.
Neil, perhaps you should set some rules, since you made the original post - say highest bid before 31.01.08 and thereafter the thread be declared dead, whether someone posts after that date or not.
