helicopter/chod rig hooklenths??.

while useing the hellicopter/chod rig whats your opinion on useing a critically ballanced bait ie fake corn [so that the bait slightly raises off the bottom OR a pop up a few inch ie 3 o4 more??....colin.

there are differant types but mainly over dead tree leaves and soft silt underneath with patches of dying off weed here and there....thanks...col. [in about 10-12 feet of water.]

I'd personally make sure the main bit of the hooklength was supple - stiff ones can sit up at an angle.

i can't see the pointusing critically balanced bottom baits with stiff links - ok if they are pop-ups.

resting on the bottom or popped up? i'd go with resting on the bottom, or in the silt - its where the natural stuff is, but loads of people swear by popping it up - the choice is yours!
