Found this washed up on the river bank.

Anybody have any idea what it is ?.

Won't give too many details as i'm sure somebody will know.

Its a kids toy aint it? one of those throwing darts!!! Does it tick??? if so i would put it back were you found it!!!lol

On holiday last year, saw some boys throwing one of these round on the beach. They were getting a good 50 yards throwing to each other. Mind you, if you didn't catch it properly it gave a damn good whack!!!!

It looked like a good laugh.

as has been said its a throwing toy. several types 1 you just throw and catch, 1 screams when thrown, the faster the throw the louder it is, 1 you fill with water and try to catch without getting wet, another that you fire from an air pump.

keep it to play with they are good fun, espicially if you launch it at someone and they miss. it hurts. lots, if you you get it right.

They use them in PE in schools,instead of a ball in rounders or softball

They're called Nerf Howlers. You can different types some count how many times it spins in the air and such. I sell them on my kite stall
