Hello all
Not fished since the birth of my first child (about 6 1/2 years) but got my licence & wakefield book for fathers day and fished the Wakefield stretch of the river Dearne yesterday, caught gudgeon, dace, roach, bream, trout to over 2 pound & grayling in the space of four hours, had a great afternoon and felt more relaxed than i have in years.
Can't belive I've left it this long:).

I kept plenty of gear in the hope that I would one day start again(although the cherished centrepins went on ebay to pay for a pram - must obey swmbo) It wasn't until I took my daughters to the local lake armed with nets and caught a few sticklebacks a couple of weeks back that my eldest asked if we could go with a proper rod.
Well it should have been the two of us yesterday, but she changed her mind and wanted to go to a party instead so I got 4 hours of blissfull peace.
