hi all
i have got to a point with my tackle now that i am considering getting some kind of insurance for it, but where do you go for it are there any specialists out there, do you guys have it and what are the premiums like, is it old for new and any other info you can tell me on it

Personally, mine is all listed seperately on the home insurance. It doesn't add much to the premium (in my experience) but does give added piece of mind.
I have no idea about tackle specific insurers, but if it's anything like pushbike insurance, I imagine you'll pay a lot more for the same cover.
It's well worth shopping around when you renew your home insurance, if tackle cover is a high priority then discuss it with the companies/brokers and see who can offer you what deals.

avoid specialist insurers, make sure its covered on your household insurance, and get it covered all risk, make sure you have receipts for your newer purchases, take pics of everything you have, make an inventory of all of your stuff, and make sure you inform the insurers of any items worth over £500.

my old job was working for a large fishing retailer, that deals with insurance claims every day
