Excuse my ignorance, but I've just read the piece on Barrie Rickards new book and saw the reference to the LATE Ray Webb.
I really enjoyed the "Fishing for Big Pike" and "Fishing for Big Tench" books by Ray and Barrie, and was sad to learn of Ray's death
Does anyone know the circumstances of his death?

It was mentioned on the site at the time.........basically Ray died quietly in a nursing home after suffering from mental health problems for some time, ......there won't be many characters like Ray again.

You can say that again.

Both Barrie Rickards and myself have written obituaries in the Angling Star last year.
