Hi all,
Spending a week on the broads at the end of July and was wondering what is the best groundbait mix to use?
Is it best to use sweet, fishmeal or plain brown crumb?
Also do you add pellets or stick to corn/casters/dead maggots?

Cheers Gaz

If you are going for bream then I would use sweet fishmeal .
I would just use sweet fishmeal at first with no added particles, or if you are using 2 rods try one with and one without.

Chaps,

Not wishing to usurp Gareth's thread but my question is the same (albeit for the first week of October)... picking up a boat from Stalham and just going where the wind takes us.

Help appreciated (and apologies to Gareth!)
Cheers,
Gus

Couldnt agree more with this. Theres some big waters in the broads themselves and the rivers. Large areas with not a lot around, and odd areas with bream shoals etc. Locating the fish is the key, to some extent any GB would help to get and keep them feeding once they are found. Some of the broads also have very soft silt - almost like a liquid at the surface, something to bear in mind.
