I am planning to fish at Holt Fleet and was wondering who controls the fishing from the end of the lock island to the bridge. I know the BAA control the weirpool but I would like to revisit my youth and fish a peg next to the campsite on the lock service road.
When I first fished this area there was a piece of heavy gauge polythene trapped in the branches of a hawthorn tree in our favourite peg.
That was fifty years ago exactly and there are still fragments of this stuff visible from the bridge.
