I'm a new member, can anyone tell me how the severn is fishing in shrewsbury, for mainly barbel and chub, keep checking saf website, but a waste of time, updates very few and far between, i live in manchester so can't just visit on a daily basis.

Welcome to the site mate.

Can't give you definitive info am afraid, however I reckon that every time you're on the way down there call into the same tackle shop in Shrewsbury, buy some bait and tackle, get to know a few names and call them up before you go in future.

Thanks for the welcome guys, thanks also to bluenose for the reply about Shrewsbury, i do call into Total Angling but they always seem to busy to talk to people, and i know the bailiffs in the town well, but i feel as though i would be bothering them.
