river wye help

hi everyone,ive booked 3 nights in hereford starting monday with my friend and we are hoping to fish the river wye,ive been told to speak to the guy at woodys tackle shop for some pointers but thought id try my luck on here as it looks a great site to find such info.as we are only having a short visit all help would be appreciated regards any stretches and directions. thanks

get up and fish dawn till 10am, go to the pub and have a steak n chips with a few beers...go back to the digs and have a couple of hours kip then go out at 6pm and fish till dusk.

before that ask Woody where to fish...

Have a look at the Wye and Usk Foundation's website. Plenty of stretches to try, with maps etc, but booking a stretch at short notice may be a problem. Next stop Woody's tackle shop.

Hi there, can you let me know how you get on, i am thinking of doing the same thing next year! I fish the severn but would like a few days on the Wye.
i have been looking at a few guest houses etc, not cheap but your only here once!!
