Rivers

Hi all i wonder if anyone can share some good rivers in and around Liverpool never been river fishing and planning todo some piking also do rivers produce some big fish ?

My Daughter lives in Widnes (next to Runcorn bridge) right on the banks of the river Mersey, fished it a few times years back with a beach caster very tidal though.

Maybe you could try further down past Warrington towards Eccles, less brackish not sure if it holds any pike but the canal certainly does. good luck.
