Hello - I've just registered and would like to introduce myself. I'm a 'lady of a certain age', who has fished during my youth. After many years of very sporadic fishing trips (mainly holidays), I've got the bug again after a couple of trips to our local fishery with my husband, and our daughter's partner. After bagging a few nice carp, I had arm ache the next day !
I was told to 'put your Mitchell 324 and 320 reels in a museum', and get yourself a nice new Shimano. So I'm due to pick up a DL 4000 FA on Tuesday, to go with the Korum CS 11' feeder rod I've received as an anniversary present.
I'm due to retire next May, so I'm hoping to have more time to myself, and I'm wondering if there are many other ladies here, or as I suspect that I'm in the minority, that the rest of you will 'play nicely' !
