I'm loooking to get my son (10) a quiver tip rod for general coarse fishing.
It will be used mainly on still waters (or small/slow rivers in the future) for fish such as roach, skimmers, small tench, perch etc and capable of casting small groundbait feeders.
At the moment he's using a 7.5ft wand that just hasn't got the length to pick up line quickly or clear margin weed.
I'm looking to spend say £30 max on a rod 10-12ft.
Any suggestions would be appreciated?
