Hi Margot

I'm not sure whereabouts you are to be touring but if it is South Lakeland you are out of my area ... but try Carlsons tackleshop in Kendal. They have a good website giving plenty of info about local waters. Also ditto for Windermere Anglers.

You will probably struggle for carp in N Cumbria - only day ticket waters that jump to mind are Oakbank at Longtown,Whins Pond outside Penrith and Brayton near Aspatria.

Give us a shout if any of these sounds suitable.

Margot,

Try Ratherheath Tarn nr Kendal - Carp To 18lb or Holehird Tarn nr Windermere - Carp to 16lb . Day Tickets from Local Tourist Info Centres, nearest Petrol station or Carlsons Tackle in kendal. Windermere,Ambleside and District AA controlled, see website.
Also Bigland Hall, nr Newby Bridge - Carp over 20lb. Day tickets on Bank?
Ratherheath and Holehird - fairly easy, most methods work, but no night fishing and 2 rods max. Bigland a lot harder but bigger fish.
ok
