Hoiday on the Hampshire Avon

Many years ago I enjoyed a holiday in a hotel in Ringwood which had all needed for a fishing holiday - their own stretch of water (including a weirpool) - tackle shed, packed lunches etc.

At the time I think the Hotel was called the Avon Hotel.

Can anyone advise me of similar available now.

There is a B&B catering for anglers within acouple of hundred yards of where the long gone Avon Hotel was, and the two stretches of water - Lifelands and Ringwood fishery - are still available for day tickets. Try contacting Avon Angling or Ringwood Tackle, both West street, Ringwood for more info.

Sandy Balls near Fordingbridge have their own stretch of the Avon.

You get sandy balls when you go swimming off of Margate beach , when you swim at Whitstable you get crabs ./forum/smilies/disappointed_smiley.gif
