Probably laughing his socks off at some of the threads, could of done with his input.

I'll have a toast to him later whilst spending the afternoon in the kitchen cooking for all and sundry.

Time flies, I didn't think it was thatlong since John departed from us. He would have had some comments to say on some of the threads Wol....

Nicely done Fred.

Only metJohn the once, well twice if you count the pub afterwards, and he had quite an impact!

I always looked forward to his contributions to the site and this forum.

I never had the honour to meet John but I'm sure he would have ripped me to bits with my sad attempt to trot a float. 'NOOOOOOOOOOO girl, that's completely wrong, listen, watch and learn'....I could imagine him saying lol.

I bet he had a PB roach up there by now.

On the road to rack & ruin !!!
You don`t realise how quickly time goes by....only communicated with him via e-mail and he kindly sent me some music cd`s once.

Unfortunately myself and yoggy never got to take him up on his offer of some grayling fishing up north.

A really nice chap who is greatly missed.

A truely top bloke, he always said it how it was and he didn't like bull$hitters.

Like so many I never met him, but we shared many e-mails together.

Never forgotten, RIP John.

A true gentleman, we exchanged a few emails, non fishing related, because of his love of the 'Blades', and we had a couple of mutual acquainances.

And agree with all that's been said, he could be an arguementative 'old bugg#r' but you knew where you stood and he did'nt mince words, and the angling world was his friend.
