First up, i dont collect floats (but im sure i could because i have tendencies like that) but i was perusing some old fishing logs of mine from the early 1980s the other day getting nostalgic about the time when i could catch really nice bags of roach on the lower Thames. In my tackle descriptions, a stick float "Nick Isles 3BB" kept cropping up but i cant remember this float at all, dont have any anymore and have never heard or seen any since - just the Pete Warren, Ray Mumford, John Allerton, John Dean, Max Winters, etc etc variants of that era. Does anyone remember this one or know who Nick Isles is/was?

Vague memories that Nick Isles was a Bristol Avon angler; you do get very small production runs done by local anglers that end up in a tackle shop or two for a few years. I don't remember any floats with his name though.
