My main interest in fishing is carp and i fish a fairly big dam (240 hectares) in sw France,the fishing is not easy due to difficult access, a lot of very deep water, and a lot of boat traffic in summer, but for me, fishing here is my escape from the stress of normal everyday life,and sometimes i catch a carp or two.From now until the lake freezes i will be changing my usual methods and i shall start to fish deeper than usual so instead of fishing in 3m of water i will be trying between 10 and 15m,I'll let you know how i get on.
