I have found the pure flouros I have tried hard work. They tend to be thick and very wirey and dont cast well at all. The other issue I have with them is that after an overnight session the line often come in very dirty and need a lot of cleaning to get the real benneifit of invisabillity back. So I would have to agree totally with Roto and say I now only use Daiwa infinity HT flouro coated linewhich is thin cast very well, good knot strenght and abbrasion resistance.

Why use fluoro as a main line? There are plenty of good monos and hybrids available.

My understanding is that it offers an advantage in clear conditons when used as a hook length/combi - where its weight/stiffnes/invisibillity can mean the diffeence between catching and blanking.
