buying abroad

does anyone know if its cheaper to buy fishing gear abroad?most things are nowadays!

has any one done or heard of anyone doing this?

It can be but there is also import duty which customs can put on my mate bryon baron got something from the states and i think they put something like 50 % on but it still worked out cheeper than buying it over hear

Before buying anything from abroad make sure you considerwhat happens if you have a problem with it later.

Thats exactly what puts me off Andy......just been looking on E.bay at sounders from the states.

A lot of warranties/guarantees are null and void if the item is purchased fromm abroad

If you know anyone in the states get them to buy it and fill in the warranty card and then send it on to you - this way the product should be covered by warranty and you won't be liable for any duty as it will be a 'gift' from them.
