The rod is a 10 foot "Silver Monarch" split cane rod and presumably the maker's logo is the above image, but I'm damned if I can place it. Any ideas?

I originally thought it was Edgar Sealey from distant memory, but when researching the logo it is as you say two fish heads.

www.ebay.co.uk/...rod...-/27074442972...Vintage Edgar Sealey & Sons Octopus Octofloat Split Cane Fishing Rod circa 1960s. Vintage Edgar ... name on the rod is Silver Monarch Double Built Butt Elastic Cane. name is a bit ...

I think berty's grey matter is right....

That link doesn't work for me, but the description is exactly as on the rod.

Why the attitude ?

Your post didn't cross reference or show the logo, I simply added corroboration with logo....

Not denigrating your post, just confirming its accuracy. I hope.
